Oldest son of Levi and Rachel [White] North. He and his brother, Edmund, learned how to make tools from Richard Beckley. Owned a tool shop; sold and repaired tools and farm equipment. Made shears for bookbinders, tinners tools and repaired wagons and sleighs. A founder of J and E North Mfg. Co., makers of tinmen's tools. During 1823 sold to William Buckley - shop later sold to Lyman Wilcox. Was 7th building south of north end of Worthington Ridge. Jedediah may have been a bookbinder from 1789 - 1867. . He joined Berlin Congregational Church in 1812. Gave 1st organ to Berlin Congregational Church.. Jedediah died at age 66 years.
