Name is recorded in church records as "Birdseye", on cemetery marker as "Birdsey." Baptized in the Kensington Congregational Church as an adult, left for Pearl St. Church, Hartford on Feb. 6, 1859.
Served in the Civil War in Conn. Volunteers. Wounded at Fredericksburg. Died at age 22 (may have died as result of his wounds.) He was the adopted son of Emeline J. Landon.
