Resided in New Britain. He was employed in a brass foundery. He enlisted in Co. A, 25th Regt. CV at age 21 years which was ordered to Louisiana. He was wounded at Irish Bend on 14 APR 1863. On 23 JUN 1863 he was taken prisoner at Brazier City. He was transported home in AUG 1863. He served in the State Militia.
