Rolando lived most of his life in New Britain and Kensington. He retired four years previous to his death from Stanley Works, where he was employed for many years. He was a member of the Sortino Pantalica Club, the General Ameglio Society, the Cousin's Card Club and the Friend's Card Club. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Rolando died at age 67 years. He was surived by his wife,Tina [Formica] Angeli; a son, Edward J. and his wife, Laurie of Southington, a daughter, Melissa V. and her husband, Chris Peck of Kensington. He was also survived by four grandchildren, Kelly, Samantha, Tina, and Guy; his mother, Yolanda Angeli and his sister Nanda Peugini, both of Italy; and his brother-in-law, Joseph, and his wife, Mary Formica, many cousins, including the Formica, Amodio, and Angeli families.
Funeral services were held Monday, 17 JULY 2000 from Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Kensington.
