He became Pastor of Berlin Congregational Church on 01 JUN 1906; pastor for 25 years. He graduated from Greenfield High School, Massachusetts; BA from Amherst [1897]; Hartford Theological Seminary [1900]. Samuel was a Phi Beta Kappa member. He was also a member of New Britain order of Masons, Centennial Lodge, Doric Council, Exchange Club of New Britain and Shuttle Meadow Country Club. He was a Trustee of Hartford Seminary Alumni Association and a member of the New Britain Chapter of the American Red Cross. During his years in Berlin he was known as "His Grace, the Bishop of Berlin". He died on 01 JAN 1929/1930. |
