Carol lived on Colonial Court, Kensington, having been a resident of Berlin and Kensington most of her life. She was a member of Berlin Congregational Church and served as a Sunday School teacher there. She was involved with the Girl Scouts. She had also lived in New Britain and Newington and was formerly employed by D & L Department Stores. Carol died at age 86. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold and a daughter, Carol Casey; a sister, Alice Johnson; two brothers, George and Charles Guite; and a grandson, Michael Markiewicz. She was survived by a daughter, Judith A. [Markiewicz] Ruff of New Britain; three brothers, Frederick Guite and Jonathan "Jack" Guite of East Berlin and Wilfred Guite of Meriden; two grandsons and their wives, Thomas and Lourie and Paul and Denise Markiewicz; three great grandchildren; several cousins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and calling hours were held at Erickson Hansen Funeral Home. Memorial donations to Newington Children's Hospital.
