Stefan Cichon died at age 83 at New Britain General Hospital. He was a native of Poland. During WWII he had been held in a labor camp in Germany. He was a resident of Kensington the last 35 years of his life. Prior to that he had lived in New Britain. He was employed at Atlantic Machine Tool Co. for 31 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Holy Cross Church , New Britain. Stefan was survived by his wife, Helena Litwinska Cichon; a son, Thomas Cichon of Southington; and two granddaughters. Funeral services and calling hours were at Burritt Hill Funeral Home, New Britain. A Mass was celebrated at Holy Cross Church.
