Godfrey "Jeff" Anderson died at age 89. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth [Peterson] Anderson, who died in 1988. They had been long time residents of Berlin. He later married Fay. They resided in Venice, FL and spent summers in Ohio and Connrcticut.
He attended New Britain High School and graduated from Yale University in 1940. He was employed by New Britain Machine Co. as director of factory operations until 1983.
He was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of the Reformation in New Britain, where he served as deacon and was a member of the Church Council for many years.
He was survived by his wife, Fay Anderson; two daughters, Karen McConnell and her partner, Allen Nielsen, of Glastonbury and Janice Smyth and her husband, Gerard, of Granby; step-children, David Karn and his wife, Patsy, Robert Karn and his wife, Carla, and Marcile Lattimer and her husband Gary; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Ruth, and by a brother, Bruce Anderson. Funeral services were at First Lutheran Church in New Britain. There were no calling hours. Memorial donations to First Lutherann Church Memorial Fund. Calson Funeral Home, New Britain assisted family with arrangements.
