Robert lived on Village Lane, Kensington. He died at Hartford Hospital at age 65. He was a graduate of Cromwell High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and later in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Milici Auto Body in Wallingford. He was a sexton at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in New Britain. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. Robert was survived by his wife, Judith Ann; a son, Robert E. Dahlgren of Kensington; a daughter, Janet D. Dahlgren of Little Torch Key, FL; two sisters, Lillian Nightingale of Middletown and Esther Friedman of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harry, Harold, and Raymond Dahlgren and a sister, Ruth Braur. Funeral services and calling hours were at Porter's Funeral Home, Kensington. Funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Church, Boomfield. Burial was with military honors. Memorial donations to Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield or to the American Cancer Society.
