Dominic died at age 74. He,d been ill with ALS [Lou Gherig's Disease]. He had moved from New Britain to Kensington in 1958. He was a 1942 graduate of New Britain High School and a WWII veteran; he served in Europe with the 5th Armored Division, U.S. Army. He and his wife, Esther had four children. He retired from Stanley Works in New Britain in 1990, having worked there for 34 years as a tool and die maker in the Hardware Division. He was survived by Roseanne and Wayne Johnson of Kensington, Linda and Bill McQuillan, Kate Criniti of Brookline, MA, Fred Criniti of Arlington, MA and Dale Criniti of Bedford, MA; 6 grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Joseph and Josephine Criniti, and Nicholas and Carolyn Criniti all of Berlin and Lydia Gagliardi of New Britain; his mother-in-law, Clara Barberini of New Britain; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Jim DeFrancesco. Funeral services and calling hours were held at Farrell Funeral Home, New Britain; Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Donations to Hospice of Central Connecticut, Plainville.
