Joseph died at age 79 years at Andrew House in New Britain after a long illness from complications of diabetes. He had been a resident of New Britain before moving to Kensington in 1949. He was a graduate of New Britain High School Class of 1942. He was employed by Fafnir Bearing before enlisting in the Army Air Corps in October 1943. He owned Modern Electronics in Berlin for 35 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Church in Kensington and VFW Post 511 in New Britain. He was survived by his wife, Corrine [Rogers] Adolewski; two children, a daughter, Judith, and a son, Joseph Jr.; a brother, Charles of Dracut, MA; three grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers. Funeral services and calling hours were held at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Burial was with Military Honors. Memorial donations to American Diabetes Association in Meriden.
