Harriet died at age 84. She was Newton, NH.
Widow of Lawrence Porter Baker.
She lived in Berlin from 1943 to 1995, moving to Newton to live with her son.
Graduate of Northfield Seminary in Northfield, MA.
Graduated from Bryant College in 1939.
She was a librarian at Berlin Public Library and later Peck Memorial Library retiring in 1984.
Member of Berlin Congregational Church; Willard Welles-Stanley Chapter, DAR; the Monday Night Club; Berlin Garden Club; and a former Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
Survived by her son James W. Baker with whom she lived; a sister Priscella Cranshaw of Winthrop, ME; grandson, Reese Baker of Gill, MA; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; and two sons, Steven Baker and Gregory Baker.
Funeral services at Berlin Congregational Church in Berlin. Burial West Lane Cemetery in Kensington. No calling hours held.
Memorial donations to Berlin Congregational Church or to Rockingham Hospice in Exeter, NH.
Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain in charge of arrangements.
