Also known as "Mr. C". Died at age 91 years. Married to Maryann Wolak for 59 years. Was a Berlin resident the last 50 years of his life. Graduated from New Britain High School in 1934 and the New Britain Trade School. He was a pitcher on the school baseball team , was on the football team, was a sports writer for the school newspaper and was active in theatrical productions. During WW II, he worked manufacturing for the military in Newport, RI and was foreman at Parson's Tool & Die Co.. Later became owner, manager, and instructor at Fame Tool & Die Co. in Plainville, instructing peple in the tool & die trade from 1955 to 1991. Volunteered for over 38 years at Camp Incarnation, Ivoryton. Was a member and past president, and past secretary of Essex Sportsman Assoc. in Ivoryton and was active in St. Paul's Fife and Drum Corps, Berlin.
In addition to his wife, children and brothers and sisters, survivors include 4 grandchildren, and many neices and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Bycynski and two brothers, Val and Felix A. Cichowski.
Funeral services at Burritt Hill Funeral Home, New Britain. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain.
