1 Card catalog notes: "Probably a brother or other relative of Oliver Bronson, master tinsmith of Berlin, who worked in the early days for Oliver Filly . . . One of [the] older saw mills located on Mill River, 1/2 mile south of [the railroad] station, 10 Main St., Kensington, furnished sawed timber for the first Meeting House constructed on Christian Lane. During 1716 there was also a grist mill on this site. As an honor the church gave him a seat in the 1st pew . . . " Recorded in Berlin records as joining the Kensington Congregational Church with his wife in Feb. 1718/19. Served on a committee in the church on August 25, 1720. Also in 1720 furnished materials to build galleries in meeting house (both first and second buildings.) Owned the Barret Place on the "Betsis", i.e. Mattabassett, River. He sawed wood for the second church, built between 1732-33 at a mill known for many years as "Percival Mills", later the side of the J.J. Hart Co. At his death he left an estate of 6874 pounds, 8 shillings. Catalog card notes that he left his mill to "his youngest son", but complete list of his children is not available.
