Married 1st Mary Thompson; married second Elizabeth Galpin, widow of Isaac Norton at Kensington Congregational Church. Elizabeth was 79 years and Deacon Thomas 84 years when married they married; both he and Elizabeth were from Kensington. He was a founder of Kensington Congregational Church, 10 DEC 1712 and was Deacon from1718/19 until 1/29/1773. On 22 SEP 1731, he was chosen clerk. He was chosen to go to the General Assembly at New Haven on 10 OCT1745. He resided south of the railroad station. He was one of the most influential men in Kensington Society; Esquire often used by his name. He represented the town of Farmington for 6 sessions 1739 and 1747 and was a Selectman oin Farmington in 1771. Dea. Thomas was a Justice of the Peace. He died at age 93 years.
