Made tinner's tools ; tools forged in his shop using horse power. Also made bench shears & snips in dies. The dies were small blocks of steel bearing the impression of the tool on the side opposite the cutting edge. Steel was then heated to a white heat, placed in die and blade was [then] formed by hammering the steel into the die--BPLH notes. He is listed on both the catalog card and in cemetery records as "Colonel", his military record is not recorded however. His last name is spelled "Buckley" and "Bulkley" in some records, Bulkeley in cemetery records. Died at age 81. |
