He came to Berlin in 1828 and bought the farm south of the Sage homestead (on Worthington Ridge). His daughter, Rozilla, married Elbert J. Clark, no relation to this Clark family. He was a selectman in Berlin in 1837. His cemetery inscription reads: "Help Lord for the godly man ceaseth, for the faithful fail from among the children of men."
