North records that Hope was educated at the Worthington Academy at the time that Mr. Parish was the principal. At age 17 she was a teacher at the south district school. She married (1st) and moved to New York. Her first husband's name is not given. When she married for the second time to the Reverend S.H. Beale they moved to Camden, Maine. At the time the North history was written, ca. 1916, they were still living in Camden, Mr. Beale was then 90 years old.
