He and his wife were both baptized as adults in the Kensington Congregational Church. He was a tin manufacturer or merchant and president of the Kensington Library Society in 1850. He was a Berlin selectman in 1849 and 1856. His name appears in John Gladden's account book several times between 1855 and 1858. Died at age 63.
