He was married in the Kensington Congregational Church, he was from Kensington, his wife from Middletown. He joined the church on Mary 12, 1765 and served as a deacon from March 31, 1780-October 21, 1820, he sat in Box 2 during 1815. This note appears on a catalog card: "Deacon of 2nd Society Church in Society of Berlin which was the First Church in New Britain. Lived in Kensington, 1810.". He died at age 86 years.
