He was an Ensign in the Farmington Train Band in 1695, a Lieutenant in 1703 and Captain in 1707. Was Deputy to General Assembly, 1702 - 1714. Served in defense of the frontier in Hampshire County, 1707 - 1708. Died at age 74 years.
