Second son Deacon Ebenezer Hart and Elizabeth. Graduated from Yale in 1768 with High Honors. Taught school - returned to Kensington and had serious quarrel with Minister. Thrown into jail until the Revolution. Joined Army in 1775 and was slain by Indians when they slaughtered General St. Claire expedition in Ohio on 4 NOV 1791. His marriage date to Abigail Riley is given as 1775 on BPLH Card Notes and as 1777 in Deacon Stephen Hart Genealogy. While in the Army, he went from Private to Quarter Master. He served with Lafayette at Yonkers and with Washington. He was in public service from 1775 - 1791. Had brother, Dr. John, who was an Army Surgeon.
