Joined the Kensington Congregational Church on Feb. 8, 1761. In 1775, he and his wife are recorded as members of the Berlin Congregational Church. Deming Genealogy records that as far as is known he and his wife had no children. In his will he names his wife Lucy and Israel Deming, of Berlin, as his heirs. Israel was the son of Abraham Deming, of Rocky Hill and "may have been adopted by Jacob." Died at age 77 or 78.
