Married 1st Lena "Lina" and mar. 2nd Betsy. He and his wife, Lena, joined Berlin Congregational Church in 1795. Purchased property from James and Olive Booth in 1836. Built 1157 Mill ST., East Berlin circa 1800 - probably owned but not occupied by Josiah R. Wilcox. Owned gristmill, fulling mill, and manufactured brick. At time of death owned Middletown-Farmington Turnpike Co..
He was a deacon of the Congreagational Church in Upper Houses. He died at age 78 years.
