Watch at the Library
We show online events on our big movie screen (when possible) or in a study room. The event is still online and live, not in-person or pre-recorded.
If you are interested in watching this online event at the library, let us know when you register.
Join us for a night with author and award-winning blogger, Lisa Steele, better known as “Queen of the Coop”.
A native New Englander and resident of Maine, Steele left behind a career on Wall Street to try the farmer’s life. With over 1 million followers on her blog Fresh Eggs Daily, Steele is now the go-to eggspert on how to raise chickens and what to do with all your fresh eggs!
In her newest book, The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook, Lisa will expand your egg repertoire beyond the usual breakfast fare of fried, poached, and scrambled. Did you know you should never salt your eggs before they finish cooking? Learn the best way to hard boil eggs so that they peel easily; why you should never beat cold egg whites; and why you should eat the yolk!
Sponsored by a collaboration between the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, Wethersfield Library, Lucy Robbins Welles Library (Newington) and the Cora Belden Library (Rocky Hill).
Video Chat
We will meet online with a video chat using Zoom. If you have never used Zoom before, it is very simple and user friendly. We recommend installing Zoom on whichever device you will use (computer, smartphone, tablet) before the program starts. When you click the invite link, you will be prompted to open or install Zoom.
Watch at the Library
The presenter will be online, but the Library can put it up on the big screen for a limited number of patrons. When registering, please let us know if you want to watch it in the library.
