Discover the history of our beautiful blue planet by studying what’s buried under the surface!

Join Nancy Najarian, Bob Reynolds, and Al Peret of the Lapidary and Mineral Society of Central Connecticut to discuss meteorites and fossils of different evolutionary times.

Fossils are the preserved remains once-living things from the past, and can include more than just dinosaur bones! Fossils also include shells, exoskeletons, stone imprints of animals or microbes, objects preserved in amber, hair, petrified wood, oil, coal, and DNA remnants.
The totality of fossils is known as the fossil record.
