Create a spooky light-up mini ghost for Halloween!
This month’s Take and Make will be a kit only.
There are 30 kits available for pick up… place your hold ASAP!
Once all of the kits are reserved, there will be a waiting list. If a kit is not picked up after 5 days, it will go to the next person on the list.
Registration opens at the end of September. Once you’ve placed a hold, kits will be available for pickup Thursday, October 6.
Included in Kit
- 12” medical gauze
- Battery tea light (1)
- Ping pong ball (1)
- 2×2” black felt (1)
Additional Supplies Needed
- Scissors
- White glue
Instructions

Open your scissors and using one pointed end, put a hole in the ping pong ball where the lettering is. Turn the point of the scissors in the hole until the hole is long enough to fit over the flame of the tea light.

Insert the tea light flame inside the ping pong ball and set aside.

Cut the medical gauze in half to form two 6″ pieces.

Use scissors to cut the edges of the gauze to give it a ragged look. You can also pinch the edges between your fingers and pull to shred the edges a bit.

Apply glue to the top of the ping pong ball and add one layer of gauze.

Add more glue to the top of the first layer of gaze and add the other layer of gauze in the opposite direction from the first layer. You may find it helpful to hold the gauze down with a rubber band while the glue is drying.

Use scissors to cut out two ovals of black felt for the eyes.

Apply glue to the back of each black felt oval and attach each one to the gauze.
