BPML Top Checkouts of 2019

On trains, in coffee shops, and curled up in chairs in our homes, Berliners read thousands of books this year. We read literary fiction, memoirs, mysteries, thrillers, romances and more. Curious which books and movies your fellow users of Berlin-Peck Library were checking out the most? Below are the top 5 checkouts in fiction, non-fiction and movies. Click on a title to see it in the catalog!

Passport Day

For college students and others, it’s not too early to start preparing for travel abroad this spring and summer. We will be having a Passport Day on Wednesday, January 8 from 2-4 pm to accommodate the increased applicants we usually see this month. Visit the Passport Office page on our website to make sure you come prepared with all the information as we will not be able to reschedule you that day. Please call 860-828-7126 or email passport@berlinpeck.org for an appointment.

Census 2020

In March 2020, you will be invited to respond to the Census. For the first time, you can respond to the census online. Libraries offer public computers and free internet access to help make sure you’re counted. 2020 Census data informs the distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funding each year. Your representation in Congress, as well as funding for libraries, hospitals, community initiatives, and more are determined by this data. Library staff will be undergoing training so we can assist anyone who needs it. More details will be coming before you get your form in the mail.

Have a Happy New Year everyone!
