Due to the COVID-19 concerns, we are now offering curbside pickup for everyone to use.
How It Works
❶ Place your hold.
Please place your hold requests through our online catalog or by calling 860-828-7125.
❷ We will notify you when your hold is available.
If we have your email address, you will get an automatic email.
If we only have your phone number, we will call you.
❸ Schedule your pickup.
Once your hold is available, schedule your pickup by email or phone.
Once your pickup is scheduled, we will put your books on a table outside the Library’s front door, in a plastic bag labeled with your last name. If the weather is poor, the table will be immediately inside the lobby.
The Fine Print
- You must contact the library to schedule a pickup time.
- Please allow 10-15 minutes after your request, to give staff time to pull and wrap up your books.
- The library will provide a plastic bag which will hold up to the equivalent of 10 children’s picture books, 5-6 adult hardcovers, or 12-15 DVDs. Feel free to mix and match.
- All materials are holdable except Mobile Hotspots, Cake Pans, Children’s Backpacks, and Launch Pads.
Delivery to Car
If you are not able to pick up your books from outside the library’s front door, we can bring your books out to your car. Please park in the circle right outside the library’s front door, then give us a call to let us know you’re here. For safety, please wait until you are parked to call. If you do not have access to a cell phone, please arrange a specific pickup time when you reserve your items.
