Depending on your viewpoint, August either flew by or was slow as molasses. However you felt, it’s a fact that September is upon us. We’ve been expanding library services a little at a time; accepting appointments for browsing, computers, and study rooms. Senior hours have been put in place on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-10am (no appointment necessary). More and more people are discovering the variety of our virtual program offerings and we hope to expand these by coordinating with other area libraries. In September, look for announcements regarding Saturday hours. We also plan on strengthening our Wi-Fi access to reach further outside of our building. You may have already noticed that we added more outdoor seating. We continue to seek guidance from the Central CT Health District, the Governor, the American Library Association and the Berlin schools in planning additional services.

I especially appreciate hearing from you how helpful the staff has been. I wish you could see behind the scenes how hard they are all working.

Please like us on social media as we put many of our new service announcements and photos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

We hope to see you in person soon!

Best,

Helen Malinka
Library Director
