About the Presenter
Presenter John Jalbert and his dog Shadow are a registered therapy dog team with Tails of Joy. They make visits to senior living facilities and schools.
Tails of Joy members volunteer throughout Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties and neighboring towns in Connecticut. Member teams visit with people in hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities. Handlers with additional volunteer training participate in hospice programs providing end-of-life comfort, while others visit in schools and children’s facilities, participating in reading and educational programs.
