Join us for a screening of this documentary about the women known as Madan Sara who work at the margins of Haiti’s economy. Despite numerous obstacles, these women work tirelessly to buy, distribute, and sell food and other essentials in markets through the country. In doing so, they are able to provide for their families and help ensure a better life for generations to come. The Madan Sara continue to be one of the most critical parts of the Haitian economy and identity, and this film amplifies and shares their dreams for a more just Haiti.

The screening will be followed by a Q and A session with producer Lu Childs.
