Book Description: Collecting things dropped or left behind by others and writing stories about them as a tribute to the fiancée who died the day he lost one of her keepsakes, a man bequeaths his estate to his unsuspecting assistant, who bonds with new neighbors while attempting to reunite the objects with their owners. A charming, clever, and quietly moving debut novel of endless possibilities and joyful discoveries that explores the promises we make and break, losing and finding ourselves, the objects that hold magic and meaning for our lives, and the surprising connections that bind us.

This book is available for free download in eBook or audiobook in Hoopla for Berlin residents.

Please try to finish reading the book by May 16, 2020. We will have an online discussion two different ways. Please feel free to participate in one or the other, or both! The first option will be a Webex video chat on Saturday, May 16 at 10:30 am. (once registered here, we will provide you with login credentials to access the meeting).

The second way to participate is on the Facebook group. After May 16, we will post discussion questions to the group, where you can comment to give your response.
