Please wear a mask!

May 19, 2021 UPDATE: Though state mask mandates have been updated, we ask that all patrons continue to wear masks inside the library building out of consideration for children visiting the library (children under 5 cannot currently be vaccinated for COVID-19) as well as individuals who are immunocompromised.

Masks are required for all unvaccinated individuals inside the library; required for all individuals in the Children’s Department, regardless of vaccination status; and strongly suggested for everyone throughout the entire library.

What’s different?

What’s back to normal?

The library continues to provide numerous services, including personalized reading recommendations, book bundles, craft kits, homebound delivery, a puzzle exchange, downloadable eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, streaming videos and virtual programming.

The library has installed extra Wi-Fi access points to enable a stronger signal outside of the building, reaching further into the parking lot on the left side of the building. Wi-Fi hotspots are also available for lending. Keep them in mind if your internet goes down or when traveling.

Book drop: The book drop is once again open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Browsing: No appointment necessary—come on in! Please continue to be mindful of social distancing.

Computers: Adult Department public computers are once again available without an appointment (first come, first served) with 15 minute extensions available as long as no one is waiting.

Elevator: The Community Center has returned to normal hours, and so has the elevator.

Seating: Adult Department seating has returned to its normal configuration. Please continue to be mindful of social distancing.

Study rooms: Study rooms are still being cleaned periodically, but custodians are no longer strictly cleaning between every single patron. Please plan accordingly. As usual, rooms may be reserved for 2 hours per day, up to a week in advance; you may stay longer if no one else needs the room.
