    Library Director’s Message

    Happy summer!

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to sit outside in the evening with a good book. If this resonates with you but you’re struggling to find the perfect title, we can help! Our personalized staff recommendations, new book lists organized by genre, our Goodreads page, BookPage magazine, and the weekly Wowbrary e-newsletter will have you enjoying a new book or author in no time. If you already have a great book but have trouble carving out reading time, we have a solution for that too! Join us at our first ever After-Hours Reader’s Retreat on Friday, August 9th. You will be able to socialize and enjoy mocktails and snacks with fellow readers and then spend some quiet time reading. That sounds perfect to me!

Lastly, I’d like to note a couple of exciting changes happening at the library this month. I am thrilled to announce that the library will be offering an expanded outdoor space. We are in the process of having a patio installed in front of our large window that will soon be a great place to sit and read, study or have coffee with a friend! We are also offering a Pop-Up Friends Book Sale featuring great quality, used books inside the library throughout the summer. Visit the sale any time the library is open and check out the full Friends Book sale hours below. All proceeds will go to the Friends of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library.

Thank you for being part of our vibrant library community!
