    Library Director’s Message

    Dear Library Patrons and Friends,

Welcome to the May issue of our library newsletter. This edition is packed with a variety of fantastic programs that I believe you’ll thoroughly enjoy. Behind the scenes, our team is diligently working on organizing our third annual Juneteenth celebration (be sure to save the date for Saturday, June 22nd) as well as our highly anticipated summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults alike. We have an exciting summer in store for you!

I’d also like to use this space to highlight the Central Connecticut Health District’s annual walking competition. The CCHD welcomes Berlin residents to take part in this friendly community event that lasts the entire month of May. You are invited to lace up your walking shoes, step outside, and join your neighbors in making strides towards a healthier community. We’ll be competing against Newington, Rocky Hill, and Wethersfield—let’s make Berlin #1! Visit the CCHD website for more details on how to register, track and record your exercise.

I value your feedback and invite you to visit, arrange a personal library tour, or reach out via email to get in touch.

Thank you for being part of our vibrant library community!

    Carrie Tyszka
